2011 will surely see a surge in lifestreaming. The internet is, by nature, a sterile environment, and we make it human by sharing our lives in an open forum. From facebook to twitter, youtube to tumblr, and flickr to linkedin, personal information is flooding the internet from every angle. Web design will begin to bring these multiple feeds together like never before. Instead of links, live feeds will become commonplace, and we’re ready to go!
One of the best things to hit the internet lately is flavors.me. Their tagline is, “Make a Homepage in Minutes”, and more or less this is true. The platform definitely still has its limits, but for an individual trying bring all of their social media streams together, this site is fantastic. QR codes are here to stay. Imagine the potential that a quick scan of a business card can unlock? With the steady advancement of smart phones, more and more businesses are figuring out some pretty creative ways to capture the benefits of this technology. Just today I saw a realtor who posted QR codes for their home listings on their street-side plaquards. Pretty ingenious!

The new site is finally up and running, and what a change! The new Green Turtle Design is built with WordPress, and our ability to configure new content and manage our traffic is a thing of beauty! We’d love to hear impressions! Enjoy!
